What is Agile Foundation Level Certification?
Agile Foundation Certification began in the autumn of 2007 and is open to anyone working with Agile methods. It is based on a multiple choice exam which tests knowledge of Agile terms and theories.
Why become a certified in Agile? What are the benefits?
The purpose around certification is to drive learning in the Agile community. Becoming certified sets you apart from others as it demonstrates your knowledge, experience and effectiveness using Agile frameworks. Certification creates a space for discussing what Agile is all about. It helps bring together the commonality of various Agile methods and, ultimately, recognizes people who:
- Deliver on time
- Have predictable results
- Reduce risk
- Generate more business value with less time and fewer resources
The Agile Foundation examination is of benefit to:
- Anyone involved in an Agile project
- People who are moving towards an Agile approach for their projects and who have a basic understanding of the different Agile frameworks
- People who are considering becoming Agile Project Leader Practitioners who wish to test their knowledge in advance of the Practitioner examination
The Agile Foundation examination is:
- One hour
- Multiple choice
- Closed book
- 60 questions, of which at least 30 must be answered correctly in order for the candidate to be awarded a pass
